Month-Long Holidays
Week 4 | November 22nd - 30th Holidays
November 22nd: National Go For a Ride Day is a fun little holiday that offers an excuse for your customers to take their pups for a ride to your shop. What are some good tips that pet parents should know about keeping their pets safe in the car? Do you have seat belts, travel harnesses, carriers, travel snacks, calming supplements, or supplements for motion sickness? You can design a fun display with all of these items along with some homemade handouts highlighting some of your favorite dog-friendly places in your area. Design the perfect day out with your dog - such as a visit to a local park or hiking trail, a stop at your shop to pick up some chews, then a stop for lunch at a local brewery with outside seating, then finish the day off with a nice relaxing ride down a country road you've never explored before. Building that sense of community and helping your customer fall back in love with your neighborhood will make them love your shop even more!

November 26th: Thanksgiving is a holiday dedicated to family togetherness and thankfulness. We hope that your family is safe and healthy and able to connect with one another for the holidays this year. This holiday would be a nice opportunity to check in with your customers and tell them how thankful you are for their patronage. You can also encourage your customers to share what they are thankful for in a comment on a Facebook post on your page. Times are tough but despite everything I know what I am thankful for - my dog and my cats!

Facebook Community Post: Ask your customers to share what they are thankful for in the comments. Share pictures and stories of what you are thankful for. Encourage your staff to do the same. This is a time to show your humanity and connect with your community. We are all family!
November 27th: Black Friday / November 28th: Small Business Saturday / November 30th: Cyber Monday are known as the biggest sale days of the year. Black Friday is the OG and marks the start of the holiday shopping season. It is known for "Door Buster Sales" and, well, mayhem. Small Business Saturday was created in order to promote shopping locally for holiday gifts. Whereas Cyber Monday started once shoppers started searching online for deals rather than brave the crowds. There's nothing that says your store has to pick one shopping holiday to promote to your customers. Astro Offers has several Flash Sales that will be available for your customers during these holidays. Check your Offers menu under Available Astro Offers and Enrolled Astro Offers to make sure you are enrolled. Find your My Astro Webpage located under your Actions menu; share it with your customers using Campaigns on the Marketing Suite, your Social Media, or embed it onto your business website. Your My Astro Webpage will update automatically based on the Offers your store is enrolled in, and will only show your customers the Offers which are currently active.

My Promotion Ideas: Idea #1: $/% Off Gift Certificates that your customers can give to friends and family. Idea #2: For every $ they spend they get $ back in a Gift Certificate which they can spend later themselves or give as a gift. Ex. For every $50 they spend before taxes, they get $5 in Gift Certificates. You can choose the rules applied to the Gift Certificate (when they can use it, whether it expires, whether they need to purchase a minimum in order to use it). Canva and Vistaprint have some awesome tools for designing your own Gift Certificates. Or you can make and print your own with a template.
